Hosted Microsoft Exchange Server is a great service to
offer to potential customers for any of your services;
once they start using the service and they build a relationship
with you, you can cross-sell them your other services
Because our entire reselling solution is fully Private
Labeled (using the PLAD Platform) and has your branding
and design, your customer will always see your brand
while using the service. This helps them remember you
continuously and more likely to buy your other services
Once the customers start using the MS Exchange service
and store their critical e-mail and groupware data, it
will be very difficult for them to migrate away and end
their overall relationship with you, resulting in a longer
lasting relationship with your customer
What Does Private Label Really Mean?
- Your customer will never see our name or branding anywhere.
- No frames whatsoever - our platform was built from
the ground up for private labeling.
- Your customers can administer their own account, if
you allow it, on a site with your domain and your HTML
header and footer.
- You use your domain name for services: OWA.YourDomain.com,
OMA, VPN, etc.
- For SSL driven items (SSL in OWA, RPC over HTTP, and
ActiveSync), we can private label those as well, e.g.,
Exch.YourDomain.com*
How do I test that a system is truly Private Labeled?
- If you telnet to our MX servers on port 25, you will
not see our name; only a generic domain for which whois
is disabled.
- Our Windows Active Directory name is generic and does
not include a name that is identifiable at all.
- In Outlook, in the Exchange Server properties,
for the name of the Exchange server, you will see a
generic server name & FQDN.
- If you look at the properties of any user from
inside Outlook, and click on the "E-mail Addresses" tab,
you won't see any aliases at an identifiable domain name.
- All auto generated emails sent to your users
are sent with your "From" and e-mail addresses
as well as your signature, phone numbers, website,
etc. All emails are completely private labeled.
Be careful of other companies' "private label" systems
- any savvy user will be able to determine the real provider
by looking at any of the above items. Do you want to take
the chance of alienating, confusing, or even upsetting
any of your customers? |
